Welcome to Ichi-Ban, an online marketplace built with purpose — to amplify the voices and crafts of local Japanese artisans.

Countless skilled creators pour their passion into handmade goods, traditional foods, and beautiful crafts. But despite their incredible talent, many of these artisans face barriers to reaching modern consumers — especially online. That’s where we come in.

We created Ichi-Ban to bridge that gap. Our platform gives these artisans a way to showcase their creations to a wider audience without needing to navigate the complexities of digital commerce themselves.

Meet the Founders

We’re Dwight and Yuri, the husband-and-wife duo behind this shop.

Living in Tokyo, we were constantly inspired by the incredible artisans around us — from small family-run workshops to local farmers and food producers. Yet many of these talented creators had no online store.

I (Dwight) come from a background in digital marketing, while my wife is a creator herself who brings deep cultural insight and a strong connection to local creative communities. Together, we combined our strengths to create this store — a platform designed to help artisans shine online and share their work.
